The hidden waterfalls of Sri Lanka

Swim in the crystal clear waters of the Secret Falls

Sri Lanka is full of natural wonders, and among its lesser-known treasures are its magnificent hidden waterfalls. Imagine yourself at the top of a waterfall, with the water gently tumbling over the rocks before plunging into a crystal blue pool. The soothing sound of falling water creates an atmosphere of serenity, inviting adventurers to relax and enjoy the natural beauty around them.

  • The Bambarakanda Waterfalls

Located in the spectacular mountains of Badulla district, the Bambarakanda waterfalls are among the highest in Sri Lanka. However, due to their distance from tourist areas, they often remain unknown. The spectacle offered by this majestic waterfall plunging into a deep pool is simply breathtaking.

  • Diyaluma Waterfall

Diyaluma Waterfall, near the town of Ella, is another natural wonder not to be missed. Offering stunning panoramic views from its summit, it allows visitors to admire the verdant expanses of the Sri Lankan countryside before diving into its refreshing waters below.

  • Ravana Falls

Nestled near Ella, Ravana Falls takes its name from the Hindu legend of the demon king Ravana. The enchanting setting of these picturesque waterfalls makes them an ideal place for a refreshing swim after a day of adventure in the region.

  • Ramboda Waterfalls

The Ramboda Waterfalls, located in the vicinity of Nuwara Eliya, offer an equally spectacular experience. They consist of several tiers of waterfalls that create an enchanting landscape, surrounded by the lush greenery of the Sri Lankan hills.
